Mostasim received his PhD and MASc in Mechanical Engineering from Ontario Tech University (UOIT) in 2019 and 2015 respectively, and his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangladesh in 2010. Mostasim is currently working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Ryerson University. Before this appointment, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Ontario Tech University for over a year and as a Lecturer at Military Institute of Science and Technology, Bangladesh for two years. 

Mostasim’s current research aimed at the development of microfluidic paper-based lateral flow immunoassay device for the detection and quantification of Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) neutralizing antibody present in human blood sample. He has previous experience of working on the fabrication and development of paper-based lateral flow immunoassay device.

Mostasim is co-supervised by Prof. Scott Tsai in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
