Ashkan Koushanpour, a McGill graduate and second-year postdoc at St. Michael Hospital specializes in developing portable microfluidic-based point-of-care (P.O.C.) diagnostic devices. His research emphasizes miniaturization to enhance accessibility and efficiency in diagnostic testing, aiming to bridge the gap between laboratory and on-site diagnostics, potentially transforming healthcare delivery. In his leisure time, Ashkan enjoys hanging out with friends, spending time on sports fields, reading on the sofa, and he also loves sleeping with the TV on.
